Smooth migration with expert support

Windows 7 provides an operating system that is fast, reliable, compatible and also flexible. Used in combination with Windows Server 2008 R2, it opens up an additional important range of features.

Every migration – especially in large and even international companies – must be planned carefully and implemented professionally. A smooth deployment requires solid stocktaking and a review of conditions. The existing hardware must be tested for compatibility with Windows 7, necessary purchases calculated and various migration scenarios tested in order to find the optimal migration strategy.

COC AG has many years of experience with both national and international migration projects. We cover the entire chain of services, from conception and planning to implementation, training and support services.

Our range of services is modular and flexibly scalable. Build on our entire migration expertise, or get support for the areas where your available expert resources are insufficient or non-existent.

Let us help you! We will carry out your migration in a professional manner, whether from Windows VISTA or Windows XP. We contribute our own experience and we have the product expertise – proven and certified.

The phases of migration:

Strategic consulting
The objective and result of strategic consulting is the development of clear, detailed recommendations for action as well as a rough concept for implementing the migration.
Strategic consulting includes an analysis of the starting situation, documentation of this analysis, evaluating and making recommendations for migration paths as well as developing a rough implementation concept.
Time: 1-2 man-days

Planning and preparation
This phase includes taking stock of the inventory (hardware & applications) and testing its compatibility with Windows 7. We use Microsoft tools such as MAP, ACTM and WUA. If there are conflicts, our experts develop appropriate correction plans and modify or virtualize any incompatible applications.

Rollout support
Before the rollout, we back up data and delete the old operating system. Next, Windows 7 is automatically installed, including the user software. User-relevant settings/data are restored, and the new inventory data is reported to the administration server.

Support/training
Target-oriented delta training highlights the most important differences from the previous operating system, and allows both administrators and users to get started quickly. During ongoing operations, we provide you with flexible support services – to the degree you want and for as long as you want.
