ITIL® V3 Expert – complete package
This package contains all 5 ITIL® intermediate modules (including one exam per module) and the training session “Managing Across The Lifecycle” (with one exam). All of the modules are based on a realistic case study, which allows you to apply learned knowledge and increase your learning success. You start with a short e-learning unit, followed by a five-day in-person training session. Afterwards, the trainer works with the group of participants for up to 6 months in a virtual class on our learning platform. Quizzes, individual and group assignments, chats, forums and interactive live video streams ensure that you are well prepared for the tests. Each module ends with an official certification exam.

Service Strategy
This module provides answers to strategic questions about service management: how do I create a service portfolio and service catalogs? How do I deal with demand management and financial management? With our realistic case study, you can achieve results that are directly applicable in practice!
Service Design
Here, the focus is on planning new or changed services. You will get to know all of the necessary planning processes. Using a sample service, we work together to create an implementable service design.
Service Transition
Transition is more than “just” change management. One of the focuses is working with processes and tools for change, release & deployment and configuration management. Using the case study, we will create a meaningful model for collaboration between the Project Management and Service Transition areas.
Service Operation
In this module, the focus is on the processes and functions of IT operations. We discuss organization models for service desks and technical support units as well as processes for incidents, problems and service requests, and we apply them to the organizational structure in the case study.
Continual Service Improvement
The methods, models and processes for central reporting and the ongoing improvement of service quality are the focus of this module.
Managing Across The Lifecycle
The final four-day in-person training session summarizes everything you have learned, provides more content detail and draws a connection between strategy and service improvement. The prerequisite for taking part in this session is earning a sufficient number of points from accredited ITIL® training sessions – e.g. by completing our 5 intermediate modules.
Previous knowledge required:
ITIL® V3 Foundation and/or ITIL® V2 Foundation + ITIL® V2 to V3 Foundation Bridge (when registering, please include the certificate number on the registration form!) After registering, you will be able to access our learning platform, where a short online training exercise is already waiting for you. This will help you refresh your basic knowledge.
Method:
Participants are given extensive training materials and access to assignments and relevant sample documents via our innovative learning platform, Moodle™. You begin with a five-day in-person session (the in-person days for the 5 lifecycle modules are scheduled as a block). During the in-person training session, you will be able to access editions of the ITIL® V3 publications. Next, you will take part in a “virtual class” on the learning platform. The trainer will work with you personally for up to 6 months. You will be given additional learning materials, and will have to demonstrate what you have learned by completing the exercises. We guarantee the greatest level of practical relevance by using a realistic case study.
Through chats and forums, you are in constant contact with the trainer and the other participants. In regularly scheduled live streams, your trainer will discuss the assignments with the group and will further develop your knowledge through additional presentations. Once you have successfully completed all of the assignments, your trainer will give you a sample exam for each module. If you can pass these exams, you will be allowed to take the official certification exam. If you do not complete the assignments within 6 months, you can simply register for an extension.
The certification exams take place several times a year and are administered by an EXIN-accredited examiner. The exam consists of a 90-minute multiple choice test with 8 scenario-based questions and points awarded for correct answers. 70% of the total possible points must be achieved.
In total, you must pass 6 exams in order to gain the title of “ITIL® Expert.”
